Hello – and welcome!

I’m Tim Hall. I’ve been a professional writer for over 20 years, as a journalist, novelist and ghostwriter.

It hasn’t always been an easy path. After signing my dream book deal, and seeing my first novel go out into the world, I suffered an epic bout of writer’s block, which delayed the promised sequel for years.

I had to reinvent my lifestyle, my habits, and my entire creative process, but finally my words started flowing once more. Now I’ve got novels coming out, and I’m also ghostwriting fiction.

At Wildwood Rising I’ll be reflecting on this creative revival - sharing all the practices and habit changes that allowed it to happen, and documenting my ongoing quest to grow as a writer and a human being.

I’d be delighted to have your company along the way.

What others are saying about Wildwood Rising:

“Tim is sharing the ups and downs of the publishing life with bracing honesty.”

- Recommended by Write More with Simon K Jones

“Fascinating and invaluable.”

Wildwood Rising already contains a treasure trove of delights for the curious reader and writer. Here’s a small selection:

Going forwards, I’m planning interviews with my agent, editors and fellow authors, along with extracts from work-in-progress.

I post on a Friday, usually weekly, and everything will be offered free of charge.

Thanks for dropping by – I very much hope you’ll be joining us!

Best wishes,

Tim
